How Three Kids, Including an 11 Year-Old Pulled Off a Money Heist at Wells Fargo, Houston

20th March 2024

Last week, three juvenile suspects, aged 16, 12, and 11, successfully robbed the Wells Fargo bank at 10261 North Freeway in Houston.

The kids dubbed the "three little rascals," used a threatening note to demand cash from a teller.

They were believed to be armed but no weapons are seen in the CCTV footage.

Despite their young ages, they managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of money.

Initially thought to be older, the true ages of the perpetrators were revealed after an investigation by the Houston FBI.

Retired juvenile district court judge Mike Schneider suggested potential adult involvement due to the lighter penalties juveniles face.

Following the release of surveillance photos, tips from the public led to the identification of two of the boys by their parents.

The third boy was apprehended by law enforcement after an unrelated altercation, during which a weapon and items linked to the robbery were found.

However, the stolen money has not been unrecovered.

In another incident, an unidentified Hispanic male in his 50s robbed a Capital One Bank at 1260 Blalock Road.

He threatened a teller with a note and fled with an undisclosed money. No one was injured.

The FBI Houston’s Violent Crime Task Force, along with Crime Stoppers of Houston, is asking the public to help in identifying and apprehending the suspect.

They are offering a reward of up to $5,000.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or the FBI Houston Field Office at (713) 693-5000.
