CD Projekt Red, the game development company behind The Witcher series, is making progress on their highly anticipated next installment, The Witcher 4, codenamed Polaris. 

Recent reports reveal that the team working on Polaris now consists of a whopping 403 employees. 

This is a significant increase from earlier stages of development when only 17 people were initially assigned to the project.

The decision to ramp up the workforce on Polaris comes after joint CEO Adam Badowski expressed his goal of having "around 400" people dedicated to the game. 

This move signals a serious commitment from CD Projekt Red to deliver a top-tier gaming experience for fans of the franchise. 

According to joint CEO Michal Nowakowski, this influx of talent will enable the production phase of the game to commence later this year.

However, it's important to note that CD Projekt Red is a busy hive of activity with multiple projects underway simultaneously. 

While Polaris takes the lion's share of attention with its 403-strong team, other endeavors are also in progress.

Cyberpunk 2077, despite its past controversies, still commands a team of 17 individuals providing ongoing support. 

Additionally, projects like Orion, Sirius, and Hadar each have their own dedicated teams, comprising 47, 37, and 20 members, respectively.

Polaris holds a special place in the hearts of fans as it marks the beginning of a new trilogy within The Witcher universe. 

Not content with just developing the next chapter, CD Projekt Red is also revisiting the roots of the series. 

The first Witcher game is set to receive a remake, with the company aiming to modernize the experience while streamlining outdated elements.

This ambitious undertaking isn't just about expanding the workforce; it's also about restructuring how CD Projekt Red operates internally.

During the development of Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion, the company underwent a significant organizational overhaul. 

This included fostering more open communication channels and assembling flexible teams capable of swiftly addressing any challenges that arise during production.

In the latest developments regarding the highly anticipated Season 4 of "The Witcher" TV show online, casting details have emerged, albeit with some uncertainties still lingering. 

While much of the cast list remains up for speculation, a few familiar faces are set to grace the screen once again.

Anya Chalotra, known for her role in "Wanderlust," will reprise her character as Yennefer of Vengerberg.

Likewise, Freya Allan, recognized from "Gunpowder Milkshake," returns as Princess Ciri. 

Fans can also expect to see Joey Batey back as the lovable bard Jaskier, Bart Edwards as Emhyr van Emreis, and Mahesh Jadu as Vilgefortz.

However, the latest buzz surrounds the casting of Geralt of Rivia, with renowned actor Liam Hemsworth, famed for his role in "The Hunger Games," set to take on the iconic character.
