Call of Duty: Warzone, a shooting game where lots of players fight until only one is left, came out for consoles and computers in March 2020. 

Now, after four years, Activision has today made it possible for anyone with a smartphone to play it with Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. You can get it for free on Android and iOS.

Unlike Call of Duty: Mobile, which came out in 2019, Warzone Mobile lets you connect your progress, weapons, and friends if you've already played Warzone on a console or computer.

Chris Plummer, who works at Activision, says Warzone Mobile keeps the same fun stuff but made it fit on a phone.

Playing Warzone Mobile is easy. Hold your phone sideways and use the sides of the screen to move around. 

To aim and shoot, just tap on the screen. 

You can also use a special controller that you attach to your phone or connect a regular console controller using Bluetooth.

Call of Duty has been a popular game for a long time. 

It's been the best-selling video game in the U.S. for 14 years in a row, according to a company called Circana Retail Tracking Service.

If you're not sure what a battle royale game is, it's where around 100 players all start on a big map. 

They have to find weapons and stuff to help them while the map gets smaller and smaller, forcing them to fight until there's only one left.

In Warzone Mobile, there can be more players, up to 120, and there's a mode called Mobile Royale for faster games with better loot. 

It also has other game modes like Rebirth Resurgence, Mosh Pit, and Shoot the Ship.

Lots of people play shooting games on their phones. 

Last year, more than 39 billion shooting games were downloaded, with over 41% of those downloads coming from countries in Asia. 

When Call of Duty: Mobile came out in 2019, it was one of the biggest launches ever for a phone game, with 262 million downloads in its first year.

Even though fewer shooting games were downloaded in 2023 compared to 2019, the top five shooting games still got a total of 898 million downloads.

The numbers show that people are still interested in playing these kinds of games on their phones.
